About Us

HarrisburgMarijuana.clinic — Pennsylvania Medical Cannabis for the Electric City

Built for Harrisburg

Harrisburg is the Electric City — a community of more than 75,000 residents in the Lackawanna Valley of northeastern Pennsylvania, home to the University of Harrisburg, the Steamtown National Historic Site, and a proud coal mining and industrial heritage that shaped the character of an entire region. HarrisburgMarijuana.clinic is an online directory and telehealth scheduling platform connecting Harrisburg residents with DOH-approved Pennsylvania practitioners for Medical Marijuana Program certifications under the Pennsylvania Medical Marijuana Act.

We are not a medical practice, dispensary, or pharmacy. We connect patients with qualified practitioners and guide them through Pennsylvania's certification and PA DOH registry process — from Downtown Harrisburg and the Hill Section to Green Ridge, South Side, and every Harrisburg neighborhood.

How We Operate

DOH-Approved Practitioners

Every practitioner on our platform is a Pennsylvania-licensed MD or DO registered with the PA Department of Health, Office of Medical Marijuana, and trained via a DOH-approved course — the credentials required under Pennsylvania law to issue Medical Marijuana Program certifications.

HIPAA Protected

All telehealth appointments are conducted on HIPAA-compliant platforms. Harrisburg patients' health information is handled with complete confidentiality throughout the process.

Act 44 Compliant

Every certification follows PA DOH regulations and the real-time video requirements of Act 44 of 2021. Patients then register and pay the $50 annual fee directly at padohmmp.custhelp.com.

How Pennsylvania's Program Works

Pennsylvania's Medical Marijuana Program, administered by the PA Department of Health, Office of Medical Marijuana, was established by Act 16 of 2016 and expanded by Act 44 of 2021 to permanently authorize telehealth certifications. A Harrisburg patient books a real-time video appointment with a DOH-approved PA practitioner (MD or DO). The practitioner reviews the patient's medical history against the 24 qualifying serious medical conditions and, if appropriate, submits a written certification through the PA DOH practitioner portal. The patient then completes registration at padohmmp.custhelp.com and pays the $50 annual PA DOH state fee. A physical card is mailed to the patient's address in approximately 21 days. There are no digital-only cards in Pennsylvania — the physical card is required at dispensaries alongside a valid PA photo ID.

Why Only MDs and DOs in Pennsylvania?

Pennsylvania's Medical Marijuana Act restricts certification authority to physicians — specifically MDs and DOs with active PA licensure, DOH registration, and completion of a DOH-approved training course. Nurse practitioners and physician assistants are not authorized to certify patients under Pennsylvania law. This is one important difference from programs in states like Virginia or Massachusetts where NPs and PAs may also certify. Every practitioner on our platform meets Pennsylvania's specific credential requirements.

How This Platform Is Funded

HarrisburgMarijuana.clinic is an advertising platform. DOH-approved Pennsylvania practitioners pay for patient connection and marketing services. Those commercial relationships are disclosed in our Advertising Disclosure and play no role in any practitioner's clinical decisions. Questions? Use the contact form on our Terms & Policies page.
